I would say I have about 70% percent feeling back, which is wonderful. The nerve pain is o.k. when I wake up, but becomes progressively worse as the day continues. By evening, it is making me a little crazy as I try to distract myself from it, but I'm good at mind games! :-) I do take double and sometimes triple the evening nerve pain meds, which also makes me tired. This is good because the steroids make it hard to sleep. Speaking of steroids, I am tapering down 5 mg every five to seven days and hope to have reduced from 60 mg to 40 mg by next week. I have to play it by ear to see if I can handle that, or if I have to go more slowly.
Your continued prayers are appreciated, and I know they are being heard! Everything takes time that's worth doing or having, and everyone is fighting some kind of battle. Therefore, keep your chin up, and know you'll make your goal, one step at a time, gotta keep walking, walking, walking! Make somebody's day with a quick handwritten note. When is the last time you wrote a "snail mail?" Take five minutes and do that today!
Blessing--James
