I am still using the walker extensively. However, my balance and motor control is returning nicely. I have 60% feeling in my left leg, which is more than even three days ago. With that said, the burning nerve pain is 60%, so every step is quite painful. It is a transition process, I believe, to healing. I can feel my big toe, but none of the others. Goofy!
My digestive system is an absolute wreck. It is numb also and will not work at all on its own. I had a colonic Monday, and another one today (Wed.). Suzanne at FaithWorks in Stanton realized that my transverse colon (the middle part that goes across below your stomach) was shoved under my ribs. I had thought that Monday, but just thought it was in my head. So she helped lower the transverse colon where it belongs and maybe that will help. If I eat anything, which is basically Nutriblasts (Have you seen those Nutribullets? They're amazing!), I feel like I just ate a Thanksgiving dinner for several hours; very uncomfortable.
I am going to have choir practice for the first time tonight, so I'm excited. We're still going to practice all the great Easter music. I figure that if we perform it before Pentecost, we're doing alright! :-)
"My light shall break forth like the morning, and my healing (my restoration and the power of a new life) shall spring forth speedily." Isaiah 58:8
Keep holding on to His promises,
James
